Evija: Lotus unveils world’s most powerful performance car at the Lindley Hall

On 16th July, resurgent British sports car maker Lotus unveiled the Evija; the world’s first all-electric British hypercar, at an exclusive event at the Royal Horticultural Halls’ Lindley Hall in Westminster. Creating hype around London, twelve current and historic Lotus cars – all in yellow - drove in convoy past points of interest arriving at the Lindley Hall where the buzz piqued with assembling crowds for the evening event.

Two sessions saw over 350 VIP guests attend consisting of international automotive, business, technology and design media, UK business leaders, corporate and commercial partners, government officials, Lotus employees, racing drivers and other distinguished friends of the brand who were offered Champagne and fresh juices in Lotus yellow and Lotus green on arrival.

Complete blackout was created by our accredited production company Whitelight and a draped tunnel through which yellow neon arches were suspended by Blackout. Once guests had taken their seats in the tunnel, the kabuki drop screen displayed the launch film ending with the car’s headlights beaming and the screen dropping to the floor for the big reveal.

Lorraine Thorne, venue sales manager at The Royal Horticultural Halls said “The Lindley Hall works so well for such secretive events in advance, but the buzz and hype created on the day was phenomenal.”

As guests took in the world’s first electric hypercar, they were treated to miso cod with roast tomato and truffle soy and butternut poke, soba noodle salad with peanut furikake and chili-ginger dressing bowls by innovative caterers Bubble food. Vinyl Impression provided external branding graphics for the entrance hall and Kew Workshop the staging.
